What Are You Waiting For?

When you make a sincere effort to discover you unique way of serving life, the answer will come.  But once you have verified the answer, you need to go for it! Sometimes when people have something important to accomplish in life, they wait around as if they are expecting someone to give them a certificate of authorization or permission to start their own business, or to begin singing, speaking, writing, or teaching.  They wait around as if they have all the time in the world.  If you sit around and wait, life folds it arms and waits with you.  But once you summon the courage to take the first step, you’d be surprised how everything gradually starts coming together.  --- Page 103

Understanding And Appreciating Other’s Religion

While we all claim that our individual paths are monotheistic, we continue to behave as if “our” God is somehow just a bit higher than that of others.  Not only that, but some of us behave as if God has given special consideration to those who belong to a specific religion.

The various spiritual traditions of the world are like airlines.  For example, let’s say that God is based somewhere in Europe and someone in the United States wants to reach God, the person can take United Airlines from a local airport and connect with Lufthansa, and then continue to Frankfurt. Alternatively, you can take Northwest Airlines, and connect with KLM and proceed to Amsterdam. If you wish to fly direct, you can take Virgin Atlantic and fly directly to London. And if you have the means, you can go with your own private jet, etc.  This is the same with spirituality. Each path will eventually get you there, even if you have to make several “internal” connections along the way.  There are many ways to reach this sacred entity that we call God. --- (Page 157 GRG)

Service

When you make up your mind to serve Spirit, you begin to experience the wonders of a spiritual life!  There is no higher religion than service.

“Love cannot remain by itself—It has no meaning. Love must be put into action.  And that action is service.”—Mother Teresa

Mahatma Gandhi once said, “When you have surrendered yourself completely to God, you find yourself in the service of all that exists.  It becomes your joy and recreation, and you never tire of it.”
